Each package contains one half chicken, split lengthwise from our certified organic, pasture-raised flock. This is a great option for smaller meals, quicker cook times, or easy grilling.
Packages average 2 to 2.5 lbs. They are frozen and ready to ship to your doorstep.
About Our Pasture Raised Organic Chicken
Our chickens are raised on pasture at our family farm in the Adirondacks. We feed them certified organic grain, never give them antibiotics or hormones, and process them on-farm. We raise slower-growing breeds from Freedom Ranger Hatchery for better flavor and nutrition. Read more about our practices.
Preparation Tips
To get crispy skin, thaw the chicken wings completely, then pat them down with a dry towel to remove any excess moisture. This helps the skin crisp as it cooks. Then cook them up! Bread your wings and deep fry them, pan fry them with butter, or give them your favorite rub and oven roast them. Wings are tucked for convenience, try frying or baking as they are.
We also offer whole chicken wings and just chicken wing tips, they are great for frying, can be used to make broth, or given raw as a dog treat.
