Similar to it's neighbor the chuck steak, this steak is a great balance of tenderness and flavor. With its full of flavor try our 100% grass fed shoulder steak with your favorite marinade or rub before cooking, and be sure not to over cook!
One cooking trick I love for these types of steaks is cook them whole in the skillet, to rare or medium rare, then let them rest on the cutting board while you finish cooking your meal, say fajitas or the like, then slice the steak. This way you get proper doneness, rather than slicing the meat first and cooking it in the stir-fry or fajitas.
