About our Pasture-Raised Organic Chicken

Our chickens are raised on pasture at our family farm in the Adirondacks, where they forage freely and are supplemented with certified organic grain. We never use antibiotics, hormones, or GMOs.

We raise slower-growing breeds, which produce meat with superior texture, flavor, and nutrition. All processing is done with care on the farm. Read more about our practices.

Unlike the chicken broth you get in the grocery store, you know exactly what's in this broth: pasture raised organic chicken backs and organic vegetables. Simple and nutritious. We make our chicken broth right here on the farm. Here's how we make it:

• First we roast the chicken in a hot oven.
• Next we roast organic carrots, organic celery, organic onions.
• Throw this all in some BIG pots, cover with water and let simmer for 24 hours.
• Strain and filter, skim any fat.
• Sprinkle with love, jar and flash freeze.

Preparation Tips

Thaw your broth in the refrigerator or gently warm the jar in a bowl of cool water until loosened. Pour into a pot and heat on the stovetop until steaming. Sip it straight as a nourishing drink, or use it as a flavorful base for soups, stews, gravies, and sauces.

For extra richness, simmer with aromatics like garlic, ginger, herbs, or vegetables. You can also use it to cook rice, quinoa, or pasta for added depth and nutrition.
