Privacy Policy – Reber Rock Farm

Privacy Policy

For Reber Rock Farm – https://reberrockfarm.com

This privacy policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit, create an account, make a purchase, or submit any other forms on https://reberrockfarm.com (“our website”).

Consent

We will provide a link to this policy clearly visible next to any form where we ask for your personal data, and consider your submission of those forms as acknowledgment that you read this policy and agree to let us use your data in the way described in this policy.

Collecting personal data is required to create an account, place orders, and use certain aspects of our website.

Personal Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we will collect your first and last name, email address, and ZIP code (“Personal Information”). We do this so we can help determine the closest pickup location and check if we offer home delivery in your ZIP code area. We consider your completion of creating an account as consent that we can send you marketing emails regarding our products and services that we think will be of interest to you. You can unsubscribe from all marketing emails by using the link provided at the bottom of each email.

Order Information

During checkout, we will collect your street address, city, state, ZIP code, country, and phone number (“Order Information”). We do this so we know where to ship your order, and if we need to contact you by email or phone regarding your order or account. We will not use your phone number for marketing purposes, only to contact you about your order or account.

Gift Orders

If you place an order as a gift, we may collect the recipient’s name and email address. We use this information only to deliver gift-related transactional communications, such as order confirmation, shipment tracking, and digital gift notifications. We do not add gift recipients to our marketing lists or use their information for promotional purposes unless they independently choose to sign up or opt in. We instruct the purchaser to provide this information only with the recipient’s permission or reasonable expectation of receiving a gift notification.

Payment Information

During checkout we will also require you to provide payment details. We do not collect your full card number or card security code. We only collect and store the last four digits of your card number, the card brand, the cardholder name, expiration date, and billing address. This helps us provide information about what cards you have provided and are using to pay for a particular order. See the section below titled “How Do We Process Credit Card Data?” to learn more about how your card data is processed.

Newsletter and Marketing Sign-Ups

When signing up for our newsletter, we will collect your email address and, in some cases, your ZIP code. We do this so we can send you our newsletter and other marketing emails we believe you will find interesting. We may use your ZIP code to provide more targeted emails that pertain to news and announcements related to your area. From your ZIP code we may extract your city, state, and country for internal use.

Pickup Proposals

When submitting a pickup proposal, we will collect your first and last name, street address, city, state, ZIP code, country, email address, and phone number. This information helps us learn where we can start new pickup locations.

How Do We Use Your Personal Information?

We use the Personal Information and Order Information we collect to provide, personalize, and improve your shopping experience. This includes processing your orders, arranging for shipping, communicating order updates, and providing customer support. We may also use your information to send you marketing communications about our products and services that we believe may be of interest to you. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by following the unsubscribe link included in each message.

If you purchase a gift, we use the recipient’s information solely to fulfill that gift order and send related transactional communications, such as gift notifications, digital receipts, and shipping updates. We do not use the recipient’s information for marketing or promotional purposes unless they independently provide consent or sign up for our marketing communications. We retain recipient information only as long as necessary to complete the gift transaction and comply with legal and accounting obligations.

We may also use your information to improve our website, products, and services, detect and prevent fraud, comply with legal requirements, and maintain the security and integrity of our systems.

We use Order Information to fulfill orders (including processing payment information, arranging shipping, and providing invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, Order Information may be used to:

  • Communicate with you;
  • Screen orders for potential risk or fraud; and
  • Provide information or advertising relating to our products and services, in line with the preferences you have shared.

How Do We Process Credit Card Data?

When you initially provide or update your payment information, we transmit it via an encrypted connection to our payment processor (e.g., Stripe). Your credit card data never touches our servers and your full card number and security code are never saved on our servers. When the payment processor saves your card, they send us a unique ID for that card that we store in our database. When we charge your credit card, we send a request to the processor including the amount and the card ID to be charged. The processor then issues the charge on our behalf.

The payment processor uses and processes your payment information in accordance with its privacy policy (e.g., Stripe’s Privacy Policy).

We do not store your payment information other than card brand, last four digits of your card number, cardholder name, expiration date, and billing address.

Cookies

When you use and access our website, we may place cookie files in your browser. We use cookies for the following purposes:

  • To maintain session data;
  • To provide analytics;
  • To store your preferences; and
  • To enable advertisement delivery, including behavioral advertising.

We use analytics and cookies to improve our service, the user experience, and to analyze how our website is used. Analytics tools may collect your IP address to track approximate location and other traffic data such as browser type, device, and language. This information provides an overview of how people access and use our website and may be used to tailor content and marketing messages.

Sharing Your Personal Information

We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your data as described above. For example:

  • Our online store provider (which powers our checkout and order process);
  • Analytics services to understand how customers use our website;
  • Advertising platforms for targeted ads based on usage data;
  • Email automation platforms to deliver newsletters and marketing messages;
  • Service providers as needed to comply with legal obligations or protect our rights.

Some third parties let you opt out of tracking (e.g., Google Analytics: opt-out here; Facebook ad preferences: opt-out here).

Do Not Track

Please note that we do not alter our website’s data collection and use practices when we see a “Do Not Track” signal from your browser.

Geocoding

We will use the ZIP code you provide to extract latitude, longitude, city, state, and country. This helps prefill address information and identify your closest pickup location.

Data Retention

We will store your personal data indefinitely until you request us to delete your data.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
